An old-classic beverage that we all know and love, A&W never fails to satisfy your thirst. A&W beverages has a creamy taste to it, with a bubbly texture and sharp flavours. A&W Cream soda was first introduced in 1986, and since then has been known for its smoother texture which is formed by using aged vanilla. Add a scoop of chocolate ice-cream to transform your drink into a classic A&W float. We normally stop at one scoop but who are we to judge if you want to add three?
A Brief History
A&W began in June 1919 at 13 Pine Street Lodi, California, when Frank Wright partnered with Roy Allen to help Wright with the root beer business he started that year. The company became famous in the United States for its "frosty mugs," where the mug would be kept in the freezer prior to being filled with root beer and served to the customer. They branded their product A&W Root Beer after their surnames.
In 1989, A&W made an agreement with Minnesota-based Carousel Snack Bars to convert 200 of their chain stores (mostly kiosks in shopping malls) to A&W Hot Dogs & More. Some A&W Hot Dogs & More are still operating till today. In the late 2000s, A&W added franchises with a nostalgic look and modern technology. They had a carhop design with a drive-through and some have picnic tables.
